Two Kinds Of Blood Pressure Remedies

There are three things to do about high blood pressure and two ways to prevent / treat it. One thing to do about it is to try and prevent it. The second thing is, if you have it then you need to treat it. The third thing is to do nothing at all.(not something that I would advise to do intentionally) Now the two ways to prevent & treat high blood pressure are natural and pharmaceutical. Now let me sort of reiterate that last statement again. “There Are Two Kinds Of High Blood Pressure Remedies”—–Natural and Pharmaceutical. Pharmaceutical drugs are an effective way to lower and treat high blood pressure, but they can sometimes be expensive and are also known to sometimes have some adverse side effects which may include such things as fatigue, insomnia, impotence, and much more. Because of these side effects, many people have turned to natural high blood pressure remedies instead. If you are afraid of the bad side effects of pharmaceutical high blood pressure treatment, try a natural cure and see if it works for you. Natural high blood pressure remedies are almost always guaranteed to help you lower your blood pressure. They offer a cost-effective way to help prevent and treat high blood pressure usually without any adverse side effects. Many people have tried natural cures for their high blood pressure and have been surprised at just how well they do work. And why should they not work, after all they have been around and used by people for hundreds of years. However it is important to choose the right kind of natural blood pressure control for high blood pressure. Exercise and eating the right kind of food for high blood pressure are part of any natural blood pressure control treatment as are abstaining from tobacco use and excessive alcohol consumption, but the good thing is you won’t suffer from any bad or long term side effects. Think about it, high blood pressure remedies that are safe alternatives to pharmaceutical drugs to use in the prevention and treatment of high blood pressure.(for me personally, it is a “ no brainer”) Of course you may find that switching to a diet and / or performing a specific exercise routine may take a little longer to achieve the desired level of results that pharmaceutical drugs produce but they are both achieving the same end result. A change in your lifestyle may change the way that you used to live into a way of life that promotes lower blood pressure, but it is a remedy whose overall effects will last a lifetime, a healthier and longer lifetime. Natural High Blood Pressure Remedies – Diet And Exercise

Diet and exercise probably without a doubt when combined together is one of the most powerful natural high blood pressure remedies that we have available to us to use at any time we choose to do so. Its effectiveness is not only limited to the treatment to help lower blood pressure but it also can help to prevent it and other health risks such as heart disease, diabetes, and stroke. Now the type of foods you should be eating and the type of physical activity you should be doing depends on whether you are treating high blood pressure or just trying to prevent it. In my own personal opinion there isn’t really a lot of variables in the treatment and prevention of high blood pressure using diet and exercise but for this blog my focus will be on prevention methods that anyone can implement into their own lifestyle very simply. To begin with, start evaluating your eating habits and physical activity. You need to eat a healthy diet that is rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products. If you are a meat eater then eat less red meat and try eating more fish and poultry. Cut down on the salt in your diet, most Americans get too much sodium, which increases their blood pressure. Sodium is found a lot in processed food products such as potatoe chips, frozen dinners, processed lunch meats, etc. Read the labels on these products and buy those that are low in sodium and have unsaturated fats. Exercising regularly is very important so if you don’t have at least 30 – 60 minutes of regular physical activity most days of the week then you need to start getting it. Develop an exercise program and stick with it. Make it something that you can do every day or every other day but do not try to squeeze it all into a weekend because this could also be risky to your health. Here are a few natural blood pressure control ideas of healthy foods to eat and exercises you can do. I mentioned earlier about cutting down on salt in your diet so try using less table salt at the dinner table or eliminate it entirely and use something else for seasoning and also try to avoid processed foods as much as possible. Eat potassium rich foods because potassium helps to lessen the effects of sodium on blood pressure and the foods that contain potassium are fruits and vegetables and some really good ones that are loaded with it are tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes, bananas, grapes, apples and oranges. You get the idea, right? As for exercise, it can be as simple as just going for a brisk walk every day. Let’s say a walk around the block or even to just the end of the block and home again or if you want, you can even just do a walking in place exercise routine while standing around watching the evening news on TV. You get the idea, right? My point of all this is that these are simple enough natural high blood pressure remedies that anyone can easily do if they so choose to do so. Lower Blood Pressure Naturally With Exercise

I am sure that most of you are aware that physical activity or exercise is essential in staying healthy but unfortunately some of us do not get enough of it and this can lead to serious health risk problems down the road. Here are a couple of ways that I have used to lower blood pressure naturally with exercise that in just two weeks dropped my blood pressure numbers by four points! Now I am not saying that if anyone else who does this will get the same results that I did but it is of my opinion that I am a normal person and if another normal person did this then they should be able to achieve similar results. Having said that this is the exercise routine that I used to increase my physical activity over a two week period that allowed me to lower blood pressure naturally. First off I started with a walking in place exercise that would last 10 – 15 minutes at a session at least three times a day for the first couple of days then that eventually picked up to whenever it was convenient to do it. By that I mean if I was standing in one place for any amount of time then I would do my walking in place routine. I would even do this while watching some TV programs. Another thing that I added to my daily routine for increased activity was to walk out and greet the mailman as he was coming down the street to deliver the mail every day and then walk back to my house with him. I live about in the middle of the block and because I knew about what time the mail was usually delivered every day I was able to time my greeting him for when he first started his mail deliveries at the end of the street and walk all the way back to my house with him as he made his mail drops along the way to my house. Not only did this break up the monotony of his day and increase my activity but it also made a new friend for the both of us. These are just a couple of simple but effective exercises that if I can do it then anybody can do it. Until The Next Blog, To Your Health.

Eating To Lower Blood Pressure Naturally

The foods that we eat or our diet is one of the most basic and effective natural high blood pressure remedies available. Now we all know or should know that eating the right foods is essential in the prevention and also treatment of certain health risks. Has it not been drilled into our heads since childhood that we need to eat three square meals a day with serving from all of the major food groups to get all of our daily allowances of vitamins, minerals, proteins, nutrients, etc. So why is it that the numbers are saying we are not listening or not doing it, because obesity, heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure are skyrocketing out of control and most of it can be controlled by eating properly’ Here are a few natural high blood pressure control diet tips that can, or may even save you from a heart attack, stroke, or kidney failure if you should choose to use them. For what it is worth to you try them or not it is your choice. Personally, all I have to do is ask myself these questions to get motivated. I just ask myself whether I would enjoy living long enough and being healthy enough to enjoy my retirement years when I do reach them, I ask myself if I would like to be able to see my grandchildren grow up into young adults, I ask myself if I would like to be healthy enough to do what ever I want to do when ever I want to no matter what my age. Ask yourself something similar and if the answer is yes then try out some of these ways to lower blood pressure naturally by eating the right kind of foods. So let’s begin first off with you need to start reducing your sodium intake by eating less salt. Next you increase your sodium level and other nutrients as well by eating lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and beans (lima, kidney). Note: Potassium will also help to balance the amount of sodium in your cells. Start eating less red meats and when you do trim the fat off and do not fry it but instead try cooking it in the oven broiler or on the Bar BQ grill. If you are a meat eater then try eating more fish and poultry. One thing that is also important is to cutback on fats in your to more healthier unsaturated fats as much as possible. Start reading food labels especially on margarines and salad dressings and choose those that are low in saturated fat or are trans fat-free. You need to avoid trans fat as much as possible. This type of fat is found mainly in processed foods such as baked goods, crackers, and fried items. Here is another tip, instead of those occasional soft drinks try drinking grape juice. It contains a phytochemical called resveratrol that is found in the skin od red and purple grapes and research has linked resveratrol in helping to lower blood pressure naturally. Now this is only the tip of the iceberg so to speak of what can be done with your diet in lowering health risks such as high blood pressure but it is a start.
